Products of all brands sold by ChicagoBrass.com are primarily made of solid brass and bronze. Both materials are copper alloys. The key difference between the two metals is that brass is an alloy comprised principally of copper and zinc (~33%) while bronze is an alloy comprised principally of copper and tin (~12%) when used in producing architectural hardware. Both metals may incorporate other trace elements to produce different characteristics of finished products.
